One brick. One artist. One new home for hope.
Brick by Brick brings together artists from right across Greater Geelong, each given a single brick and free rein to make it their own. The result is a collection of original artworks, no two alike, going under the hammer to raise funds for the new Lazarus Community Centre.
Every bid puts something real into the foundations. Not a symbol of a building, but the building itself: the meals served in it, the showers running in it, the quiet corner where someone can sit down and be treated like a person.
How to bid
- Bidding opens Sunday 31 August 2026 and closes Wednesday 30 September 2026.
- The auction is hosted online through Gala Bid, so you can bid from anywhere in Australia.
- Browse the full collection, place your bid, and you will be notified if you are outbid.
- Winning bidders will be contacted after the auction closes to arrange collection or delivery.
What your bid builds
Located at 202 Myers Street, the new Lazarus Community Centre is a safe and welcoming place where people experiencing homelessness, hardship and social isolation can walk in and get practical support, any day of the week.
Profits from Brick by Brick go straight into that build. Your bid helps provide:
- A warm meal and a place to rest
- Showers, laundry and hygiene facilities
- Safe, supportive spaces for people with nowhere else to go
- Day to day drop-in services from people who care
- A centre built for dignity and inclusion
The campaign coincides with the official opening of the new centre, a milestone four years in the making. Every contribution helps us create a space centred on comfort, connection and care.
The auction closes 30 September.
After that the bricks go home with someone else. Bidding takes about thirty seconds and every dollar goes into the build at 202 Myers Street.
